Area Sales Manager – Colombo

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve Sales, GP, RD, and Product Wise targets.
  • Ensure distributors maintain a 14 days inventory, adhere to warehousing standards (FIFO, freshness), and have vehicles available for timely stock delivery.
  • Implement and follow the Permanent Journey Plan to cover all outlets, achieve redistribution targets, and ensure prompt billing by sales representatives.
  • Service outlets with competitive trading terms, maintain POS materials, and manage merchandising to enhance visibility and sales.
  • Follow monthly sales activity guidelines, utilizing market data and competitor insights for informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with distributors and retailers to foster collaboration and mutual success.

Ideal Candidate Should Possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in sales analytics and reporting tools.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets.
