The Company was incorporated in 1973 to handle the large shipping agency business that had been built up by Delmege Forsyth & Company Limited over a period of 100 years. Delmege Forsyth had and still have Agency representations dating back over 50 years with the then reputed Lines in the Shipping world such as Brocklebank, Blue Funnel, Shell Tankers and Cunard.
The Company acts as agents for reputed principals in the liner trade and has considerable experience in handling Container Vessels, Gas Tankers, Break Bulk Vessels, Specialized Carriers, Heavy Lift Carriers, Passenger Vessels and Naval Vessels.
These activities keep the Company in the forefront of the country’s Shipping Agency business, having over the years built up a reputation for professionalism and efficiency in handling all types of vessels.
Vessels calling at the Ports of Galle and Trincomalee are also handled by the Company. This includes regular offshore operations for various ship owners/operators.
